Handmade Magic By Crafty Loop
For the artist behind @craftyloop.stories, creativity has always been part of life. With a background in textile design from art school in the UK, everything shifted during lockdown — what began as crochet became a passion, blending craft with bold, playful style.

She describes her style as magical kitsch - bright, textured, a bit weird, and full of clashing patterns and mystical creatures. It’s a visual language shaped by hours of crafting, experimenting, and starting over. “I’m all about creating a world that feels earthy and enchanted,” she shares.

Sustainability runs deep in her work. Upcycling, thrifting, and repurposing old clothes into something new is central to her process - not just for the planet, but as a relaxing, budget-friendly act of creativity. “Sustainability doesn’t have to be boring,” she insists. “It can be bold, fun, and full of personality.” When it comes to materials, she stays open. Yarn, fabric, thread, canvas, paints - each medium brings its own surprises. “As soon as I limit myself to just one thing, I feel like I’m closing the door on growth,” she explains.
Her creative ritual is simple: create without overthinking. “When I stop trying to control every detail and just let my hands move, something shifts,” she says. “That’s when the real magic happens.”And her advice for anyone exploring slow living or creative sustainability? “Put your phone down and start making something with your hands,” she says. “It’s not about perfection. Just reuse what you have, gather some friends, and enjoy the process. Crafting is healing.”
