This striking artwork depicts a mysterious parlor filled with old portraits, where a white-shrouded ghost plays the piano under a beam of cool blue light. Across the room, a man sits at a dark wooden table illuminated by a small lamp. The deep crimson walls and rich brown floorboards create a somber, gothic atmosphere with dramatic contrasts.

Designed with a medium difficulty level, this project provides a satisfying balance of detailed shadow work and broader color blocks. It is an ideal relaxing painting project to complete at your own pace. The vertical 40x50 canvas makes a compelling creative gift or a spooky addition to your home decor collection.

  • Captivating gothic scene featuring a shrouded ghost at a piano and a gentleman in a dimly lit Victorian parlor.
  • Enjoy a focused and relaxing painting project as you blend the deep crimson, warm amber, and cool blue tones.
  • Makes a memorable creative gift for art lovers or unique DIY wall art for spooky home decor.
  • Sized at 40x50 with a medium difficulty level, offering an engaging challenge without being overwhelming.

Why it quiets your mind

  • You stay focused

Simple enough that you never get confused, but it still holds your attention.

  • The steady rhythm calms you

Repeated motion slows you down, much like slow, deep breathing.

  • Something to do instead of scrolling

Your hands are busy, so your phone stays down.

  • You make something real

Progress you can see, and a painting you can hang.

FAQ

Yes, you’ll have enough paint to complete your project.

If you happen to run out, simply email support@artspark.co, and we’ll send you additional paint free of charge, for three months after your kit arrives.

The main difference between "Rolled Canvas" and "Framed Canvas" is how the canvas is prepared for painting and display:

Rolled Canvas: This option includes a rolled linen canvas, which means you won’t need to iron out any creases, unlike other paint-by-number kits. It’s ideal if you don’t plan to hang the painting and prefer a more flexible setup.

Framed Canvas: Choose this option if you plan to frame and hang your artwork.

Plus, you get extra benefits:
Around 40% cheaper than local framing services
Much easier painting experience
High-quality oak wood frame.

Most colors provide full coverage; however, some lighter shades may require a second coat to fully cover the lines and numbers.

We recommend allowing the first coat to dry before applying a second if needed for the best results.

Not at all! In fact, 83% of our customers had never painted before, and their results turned out amazing.

Just relax, follow the lines, and enjoy the process.

Plus, you’ll have access to our Free Tips & Tricks eBook right after your purchase, offering plenty of helpful guidance to make the experience even more enjoyable!

This specific painting takes about 6 to 11 evenings, or roughly 9 to 15 hours in total. We count an evening as about an hour and a half, which is how long most people sit down for.

Your own pace matters more than the estimate. Bigger canvases take longer, more detailed designs take longer, and you may want to let one coat dry before adding another.
